• “One of the Outstanding Cities Working Seriously in Attaining a Drug-Free Philippines by 2010”- Award received from NAPOLCOM’s Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Force (AIDSOTF) – June 18, 2005

• YOPADA (Youth Outreach Program Against Drug Abuse)-Marikina- “One of the Three Outstanding Youth Organizations in Metro Manila (TOYOMM) Nov. 2006 – Started by Congressman Del R. De Guzman and continued under his administration.

• MARIKINA REHABILITATION CENTER (formerly Marikina Holding Center) – fully accredited last September 30, 2005 established under Congressman Del as a Holding Center and accredited as a Rehabilitation Center under Dr. Marion Andres.

• F.R.I.E.N.D. Program – Winning proposal in “Building a Drug-Free Community” sponsored by Alliance for Healthy Cities and World Health Organization (WHO) (Fund Assistance of USD5000)

• Drug Symposia has reached 20, 650 students in all public elementary schools and 11, 854 high school students developing their awareness on the ill-effects of drug abuse.

• KID BARKADAHAN LABAN SA DROGA- values formation for kids program against drug abuse with 31, 500 kids reached.

OTHER ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

• Ord. No. 19, s. 2002 - Ordinance Authorizing The Marikina Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC) To Negotiate For Purchase and Training K-9 Dog/s For The Anti-Illegal Drug Campaign

• Ord. No. 31 s. 2002 – Ordinance Prohibiting the Sale of Rugby And Other Habit Inducing Solvents To Minors Within The City Of Marikina City

• Ord. NO. 124 s. 2003 – Ordinance Imposing Penalty of Permanent Cancellation To Operate Of Franchise On Any Public Utility Tricycle Apprehended and Found To Be Operated By Drug Users/Pushers And/Or Being Use As A Means of Transport In the Distribution of Illegal Drugs

• Ord. No. 52 s. 2003 - Ordinance Establishing the “Marikina Drug Related Nuisance Board”, Defining Its Functions and Compositions, And For Other Purposes

• Ord. No. 24 s. 2003 – Ordinance Imposing Fine For Non-Completion Of The Treatment Program At The Marikina Rehabilitation Center In The Amount Of Three Thousand Pesos (Php 3,000.00) Per Month Of Confinement

• Ord. No. 71 s 2004 – Ordinance Amending Ordinance No. 24, Series of 2004, Entitled “Ordinance Imposing A Fine For The Non-Completion Of The Treatment Program At The Marikina Rehabilitation Center In The Amount of Php 3,000.00 Per Month Of Confinement”
